Shauna Vernlund

I have loved dance as long as I can remember…I started in studio dance when I was about 4 and continued studio until 6th grade! When I entered 7th grade I joined the Canby-Minneota Dance Team and danced 6 years until I graduated in 2014, I then moved to Marshall to attended Southwest Minnesota State University! It was within this one year I decided I can’t go without dance! So I moved back to Canby in the spring of  2015 and became an assistant coach for the Canby-Minneota dance team for the 2015-2016 season! I coached varsity jazz & assisted with varsity high kick until 2018! I attended school in Watertown at Lake Area Tech from 2016 to 2018 for business. In 2018, Morgan Hansen and I started this program and I have loved watching it grow every year. After being away for two years, from the dance team, to build and grow Center Stage I accepted the head coaching position for the Canby-Minneota Sensations in 2020 and love my life being filled with dance!! I love my little dance family and love watching them grow every year!
